Alice created this video for a competition called 'Short Shorts', ran by

North Devon Moving Image. The brief was to create a sixty-second film portraying a colourful character local to North Devon, England, UK. Alice's subject was Stephen Perham, a fisherman from Clovelly in North Devon. In her film Stephen is seen venturing out of Clovelly harbour in his boat, Neptune, to collect some Lobsters.

Alice says "I chose Stephen Perham as my subject because he has such an interesting life. Stephen represents many generations; past, present and future, whose work is part of the fabric of rural North Devon tradition. I wanted to convey the feeling that for Stephen, bringing in the catch was as normal and everyday as driving to and from the office is for others."

This film was awarded second place in the competition, and features Alice's instrumental folk composition 'Vic's Hitch'.
